The Field General dates from 1982 and served American football players in training, hence its flat sole and low upper. The American brand reissued it in suede and textile, without seeking to modernise the drawing. The orange stays confined to the Swoosh.
This shoe is built on suede and textile. The grey suede is brushed dry, as soapy water risks leaving visible rings. The silhouette stayed out of the catalogue for several decades before its reissue. It is worn today far from the fields it came from.
