On a pale ground the spiderweb becomes far more legible than on the black version, where it merges into the fabric as soon as you step back. This is the release that shows the detail of the drawing best, down to the stars scattered at the sides. The red trefoil gains contrast too.
White wants a separate wash the first few times. It also dirties quickly at the collar and asks for a little more attention than the dark version of the same series.
