Grey shows the print better than the petrol blue of the same series, because dark splashes cut harder against a pale ground. It is the more legible of the two, the one that shows the studio’s material work best. The shoulders drop low and lengthen the sleeve.
The cotton stays thick and takes repeated washing. Drying it flat stops the weight of the water pulling the wide neckline out of shape. Marled grey hides real wear reasonably well, which blurs the line with the printed wear. The collar stays thin and supple.
