The Foamposite came out in 1997 with a moulded shell. Made in one piece and without stitching, it used a method borrowed from the car industry.
It was expensive to make and the process never spread, which is why it stands apart.
In black, the glossy shell answers light like a liquid material. It is a heavy, stiff shoe to begin with.
