Terracotta, and plenty of it. The 1000 came out in 1999 and aged badly in people’s memories, before being rediscovered for precisely what it was criticised for: bulging shapes and silver.
Desert Clay lays a terracotta brown across the panels, with grey and metallic around it.
The abzorb cushioning in the heel still works. This is a bulky shoe, and it asks to be worn as one.
