The Chinese-German designer Kicki Yang Zhang signs two versions of this shape, one pale and one dark, meant as a pair. This dark one plays on the contrast between materials rather than between colours. The outsole picks up the black of the upper.
This sneaker keeps a mesh construction for lifestyle wear. The metallic panels dull where they rub. Wipe them, do not brush them. The designer splits her time between Berlin and Beijing, which this run reflects in its references. The mesh stays open. Both halves of the pair released together, in similar quantities.
