Black Cat first landed in 2006 and remains the only fully monochrome colourway of the shape. With no contrast the cut lines disappear and the pair reads as a single block. Nubuck catches light differently panel by panel, which is the only relief left.
Nubuck holds the shape through wear. Brush black nubuck dry; it takes water badly and dries into pale rings. The name comes from what the American press called the player for his defence.
