The pale version makes the motif far harder to pick out than the black one, to the point where the shorts pass for plain at a distance. The three stripes stay visible down the side and become the only brand marker from a few metres away. A braided cord brings the contrast the fabric lacks.
Sand marks quickly and wants regular washing at a low temperature. The loose cut falls below the knee and leaves room at the thigh. This beige pairs with pale shoes and works in a monochrome summer outfit. Both colourways of this short were made in comparable quantities and full size runs are still around.
