Black nubuck, lugged sole. The 6 inch Premium is the historic Timberland boot: waterproof nubuck leather, lugged sole, visible stitching. The model has barely changed since 1973.
Black replaces the usual wheat yellow of the reference here.
It is heavy and stiff when bought, and breaks in with wear. It started life as a work boot.
