The Amphib version pierces the upper and the sole to drain water after a river crossing. It is therefore meant for routes that cross rivers rather than for dry trail outings, where those openings let dust in as well. The 3D chassis limits twisting on uneven ground.
In textile, this trail shoe holds its shape in wear. A rinse in clear water after a muddy outing is enough, drying sole upwards. The XA Pro 3D is one of the oldest shapes the brand still produces, out in the early two-thousands.
